I have a windows xp sp1 machine, every few seconds a job
is printed on our Hp printer, it is just Garbage on the
top line. I have tried deleting the printer and
reinstalling, no joy. Run a virus scan as well as
Spybot.Found a virus in C:\windows\system32
\spool\printers\00007.spl, said it was repaired, but the
problem continues, I disabled system restore and ran scan
in safe mode, same problem? Please can anybody suggest a
solution It would be a great help

Thanks

I think it was the BugBear virus that caused "Remote Downlevel
document" printing - see if you can find a specific fix for it on one
of the AV vendors web sites.
