AMD K6-2 450

What would be a decent cpu cooler to use on AMD k6-2 450Mhz (I may plan on overclocking it to 500Mhz).

I have used a generic oversized Celeron cooler with great results.

a cheap ass one with a 6cm fan will work fine my old machine is a 500@550 and it dont go above 45oc and a mates 450@550 doesnt go above 52oc

Yeah, I had an K6-2 450MHz running at 500MHz, without any problems, maybe I could get more speed, but I didn't get ahead... I was using an AVC "Mega Cool", for socket 7, it spins at 6400rpm, it did the job. Even with my new Thunderbird 750 it worked so so...

also dude i dunno which chip you've got but i would suggest if you have the afx like i do that you run it @ 4x133 = 532. i had mine on this and it was quite noticeably faster than when @ 550, mmmmm 133 .......
