Is it better to go 1mhz at a time when overclocking the FSB of the Athlon? Or can I go like 2 to 3 or 5 at a time? Im trying to get up to 106 just to make it to the magical 4 digits (1000 for all those who dont get it) on my athlon 800 tbird. I cant seem to set the multiplier to 10 so im just gonna use the FSB the rest of the way. Thanks ahead of time.

oh and and does anyone know or have a Asus A7V plugin for Soft FSB?
One more thing, what does it mean when you cant complete a 3dmark2000 benchmark but it exits to the desktop instead?

For 3dmark when it does that the sys is not compleatly stable ie 3dmark found a weak spot. dont know of any softfsb plugs for that board, check your clock generator and try to find some for it. though the kt133 chipset maxes out about 115 for fsb the kt133a is new and good for 140 to 150 range.

Yes you can skip over FSB and go from 100 to 103 or 105. But if things start to act strange or freeze up, back it down or increase the voltage.

If you can't finsh 3DMark, then your video card and/or cpu is unstable. If you are overclocking and you get this problem, increase the voltage or back down on the overclocking. If it still happens when not overclocked, get new VIA and Det3 drivers.
If all that still doesn't help, get better cooling.
