Want to go from 3pin to 4pin

I want to plug my 4pin fan into a 3pin slot...

I can find 3pin to 4pin adapters no prob but not the opposite.

I know I will loose the ability to monitor my fans RPM's.

I bought the DigitalDoc3 with 8 fan conections and would like to free up some of my molex connectors.

You can find adapters- but typically if it's a 4 pin/12 volt connector it's because it draws a lot of voltage- which is something the motherboard doesn't supply a lot of. I suggest leaving it alone.

You can make one yourself:

Just rip the connector off the fan;

The black cable of the fan should go into the the black cable next to the yellow cable of the 4-pin conector and the red cable of the fan should go into the yellow cable of the 4-pin conector.

It shouldn't be difficult to do it the other way.
