Printing with Xerox Phaser 8400 using Windows XP Home Edit..

I just purchased a Xerox Phaser 8400 laser printer and am having problems with getting the second print command to print immediately. When you send the first print command, it prints immediately. If you then send another print command to the Phaser, it will take up to five minutes before it prints. The display panel just states Ready to Print rather then Receiving Data. Then after 3 1/2 minutes to five minutes, it will print out the second print command. If you let up to five minutes lapse before sending a file to print, then the Phaser prints the file immediately. I am using Windows XP Home Edition on a Compaq Presario. If anyone can tell me what can be wrong, I would really appreciate it. I worked for three hours with Xerox technicians on the telelphone, and then a Xerox technician checked out the printer. I worked great on a laptop, but will not work with my computer. I tried three different drivers and the same problem results with all of them.
