I've been considering getting a GFD for my Athlon 650. Has anyone had any experience OC'ing the 650?

The 650, as you may know, was the highest speed that ran 1/2 core L2 cache. I know there are ways to change this but being able to maintain the 1/2 core speed would be a big plus IMO.

With good cooling, how fast can I get this thing running and expect it to run reliably?

Thx for any suggestions,
R. Wey

800mhz!! after that you'll need to set your cache to 1/3, which defeats the purpose, unless you can go 900-1000mhz. buy that is unlikely. i used to have a 550mhz with a 650 core. i was able to oc that to 800. anything above that was impossible.
what kind of chipset do you have anyways...what mobo?

If you can't beat 'em kill 'em

I guess one could set the cache to 2/5ths...which wouldn't be as bad as 1/3rd...but I see your point.

I have an Epox 7KXA motherboard running the via KX133 chipset.
