i just picked up a new netbook an accer aspire one, and i'm trying figure out what kind of games would be playable on it or if any.

  3. anything that's not 3d will run fine. Try the games prior to 2004.

    yes and if this is the case, win7 doesnt play games that old, which sucks.

    half life 2
    warcraft

    most older games

    emulators

    nes snes psx neo geo should run fine

    newer games

    oblivion should work in low details
    resident evil 4 should work
    most others should work also in low details


    current games

    crysis 2 asassins creed and others sould work but at unplayable fps


    the basic problem in your case will be the fps and what you consider playable

    i think your gpu should be sufficient for low settings so playability will depend on the cpu


    test all these games by demos or borrowing dvd from friends
    do not buy a game without trying would waste money in your case
