Is the extra heat generated from the CPU when overclocking only due to the increased voltage applied to the chip or does increasing the multiplier or FSB increase temps also?
Inspite of what you may here, increasing your processors speed contributes more than increasing it's voltage, because as you increase frequency you increase load.
Crashman is correct to a point. While upping the multi and FSB will increase the temp, the majority of your heat increase comes from the upped voltage. I have noticed significant increases in temp from voltage, while seeing no noticable increase from speed settings. Hope this helps, Laterz.
