GlobalWin FOP-32 thermal paste or pad?

What is best?
1. keep the thermal pad on the fan and just use that without any paste?
2. keep the thermal pad and use thermal paste along with it?
3. take away the small thermal pad under the fan and only use paste?

I have read that suggestion nr.3 is the best way but I wanted to ask you guys first so I didn't mess things up... (like I uselly do)

Definately take off the pad and use some paste. I did this with mine and it helped by about 5 degrees c.

Take the pad off with some Acetone or nail polish remover and add some Arctic Silver.
