When beginning a print job on my Lexmark X73, it tells me that it has a problem communicating with the printer and that I do not have bidirectional support. It gives me suggestions on what to do, like having the printer on when Windows starts. I've tried it, and it stills give me the message. The other option is to figure out if my printer handles bidirectional support. I don't know how to do that. And, if I hit cancel it prints the job anyway.
Also, every time my printer is turned on, I get a safely remove hardware in the taskbar. It tells me the my scanner's drivers are unable to be found, yet my scanner stills works perfectly fine.
I have done the download o the new driver on their website, but still I get the error.
Everyone in my family's annoyed by this, so it would be great if anybody could help!

Can you change it to connect via USB instead of the parallel port?
