I'm considering going with an Athlon 750 on an Abit Kt7a board. I'm hoping to oc to 1GHz by leaving the multplier at 7.5 and setting the bus speed to 133. I'm a bit concerned though because a recent review on Anandtech said you can't set a multiplier lower than 7.5 on this board. If that is true and I can't get it to 1 GHz, I would not be able to back down the multiplier to 7.0.

Anyone out there tried this combination? Anyone been able to set a multipler less than 7.5 on a Kt7a??

Thanks

Don't worry. It is very very likely to hit 1 Ghz and if it doesn't work and you don't want to touch the bridges you could just lower a little bit the FSB speed.

But its my desire to run at at least 133 Mhz FSB speed. If I couldn't do it with a 750, I'd rather spend a few more bucks to get an 800 or a 900 than reduce the bus speed.

you can set the multiplier at 8.5 or 9 and 133mhz bus. that's over 1100mhz. i'm sure it'll post. i've seem lots of oc'ing project on that mobo and it goes past 8 with a 750.

My slowest PC out of 61 computers is @1050Mhz
