AV7133 @133 CPU BUS?

I have a AV7133 with BIOS 1002a, a 1.1 Tbird and 256 MB of Crucial CAS2, the L1 bridges are closed. When I try to change the CPU bus rate to 133 and set the multiplier to 8 (or less) it won't even post. I have to clear the CMOS to go back to 100 CPU bus and 133 Memory bus to boot.. I'm doing this via the BIOS setup, and I have seen in the past a few posts about having to do this via dip switches only.. I really don't want to push my system to extremes, just want to get the CPU bus at 133... Any ideas???

Sounds like some old/obsolete hardware problems....

I had a similiar problem with my asus a7v133, win2k would lock up after about 1min. I'm using a T850@1070, 256meg pc-150 @ 149mhz. I replaced my matrox millenium 2 with a geforce2 GTS. Completely solved the lockup problem.
