overclock the PII 266?

i got a PII266 cpu and asus P2L97A motherboard, how should i set the jumper?? can it be run at 75x5?? the motherboard only support up to 83MHz..
also i dun know how to add voltage, can anyone teach me??

Try 83x4. If that doesn't work try 83x3.5. If that doesn't work try 75x4.5. If that doesn't work try 75x4.

Those chips weren't good OCers so don't expect much. Those were chips were OCing was fairly risky.

I had the same board with a P2 266 it ran at 4*83 no problem but you must remember your memory may not work I had Pc100 mem. I still have the CPU on a different motherboard at 3.5*100. Runs good enough to play quake 3 at 800 * 600 on 32mb tnt2.
