From what i have read A.S.2 is suppose to handle the heat better ie not melt

A.S. 2 contains more silver conent. Benchmarks show under full load with A.S. 2 it only shaves 1C off a processor using A.C. 1. It's cheaper then the old stuff, but you also get less. If you don't own any A.S. at, get A.S. 2.
