Forum Windows XP : General Discussion Multiple printers atomatically added!!

We have a small peer to peer network set up in our
offices using mostly Windows XP Pro. When I open the
printers and faxes window on my computer, almost all of
the printers on everyone else's computers shows up on my
computer with "auto" in front of it. It's frustrating to
have to wade through all these other printers to find the
real one I want to use. How can I stop these auto-
printers from showing up on my computer?

Open Windows Explorer > Click Tools > Folder Options. Go
to "View" Tab and untic "Automatically search for network
folders and printers"
