When I try to ADD PRINTER I ger an error message saying,
OPERATION COULD NOT BE COMPLETES.

I went to SERVICES to check PRINT SPOOLER. It is set to
automatic but the STATUS column is blank. When I try to
start it I get the following message... "Could not start
the Print Spooler on local computer. Error 1068: The
dependency service or group failed to start."

I loaded a LEXMARK print driver for a customer to
troubleshoot their printer. (My computer will never see a
lexmark printer again, God willing.) I got a little
aggressive getting rid of the elusive print drivers and
deleted the folder that it was in in Windows>System if I
remember correctly.

Please advise... Thanks.

Ah, the infamous 1068. Disconnect the printer from the PC.... follow Bruce
Sanderson's instructions on how to COMPLETELY uninstall the printer and pay
very careful attention to his steps 14 through 16.

After cleanup, restart the PC. Download a new set of drivers from
www.lexmark.com. Install the software and do not reconnect the printer
until the software tells you to do so.
