Hi All,

I'm concerned about buying a heatsink that will fit my future motherboard. I'm still in the research phase of building a computer. I have decided upon an Asus A7V133 mobo and an Athlon 1.2 Ghz processor. After doing some heatsink research and finding out what I can purchase locally (I live in Germany at the moment), I have decided upon a Silverado or an Alpha PAL6035MFC. I know the Silverado is large (80mm wide) and I'm not sure how big the Alpha is. A review of the Asus board on www.gotapex.com shows that there is not much room. Does anyone have any experience with mounting either of these coolers on the Asus?

Thanks,

Rich

I used to have an asus a7v, great board btw and the a7v133 should be nice with the 133 bus, and i think the area around the socket for both boards is identical (someone correct me if i'm wrong, thanks)

And my a7v had plenty of room for some pretty interesting add ons to my fop38.

So i'd guess that it would fit on the a7v133 fine. Also, that being one of the most popular boards, they (the makers) probably tested it on one, or at least made sure it fit.

Hope that helps
