can't share my printer

I've been trying to share my printer across my network but on the computer connected to the printer when I go to turn on sharing I get the message "printer settings could not be saved. operation could not be completed" I really would like some help if anyone can

You MUST be an Administrator or User with Admin Rights in order to change
printer settings.

yep, I was admin all of the times I tried that is deffinitely not the problem.
