Msg to Cari re:privilege issue for HP Deskjet

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.print_fax (More info?)

Cari,

somehow I cannot access my original msg, it keeps on loading. Thanks for your suggestion, unfortunately it did not solve my problem. It is definitively an account privilege issue. The printer device status display shows up while printing under my two accounts with administator's privilege. On the three limited accounts the device status display does not show up. This is problematic since often the printer fails to feed the next page and should then display an out of paper message. Moreover for these limited accounts the user's guide and assistant are not loading

First reboot the PC to see if that effects the changes.

If still no change, try one more complete uninstall/reinstall of the printer
