Xbox slim wont connect to the internet

my xbox won't connect to my wireless internet. When I enter the WEP key, which is correct and works for all of my other wireless devices, it tells me its wrong and to either rety or cancel. When I enter the WEP key for my old wifi it connects, but then won't actually conect to the internet because it is the wrong password. somebody please help. i just want to play xbox again!

check the owners manual and find out what security protocols the xbox can connect to.
for instance if your router is set to wpa2 and the xbox can only connect to wep or wpa.
also if the signal encryption is set to aes or something else that the wireless adapter doesn't use.
