Hey guys here's a question for ya. I'm planning on purchasing a new cpu here soon. Have an Iwill KK266 mobo and I stick of Muskin rev 1.5 cas2 pc133 sdram. What will be more overclockable for the price. A 900mhz Duron @ $100 or a T-bird 1ghz 266fsb @ $143????? Either price is feasable for me so I'm just curious what you guys think that the ceiling is for the overclock on these two chips?? Or even a 900mhz tbird??? Any thoughts would help.

doesn't seem to be a huge difference but still the answer is yes. <A HREF="http://www4.tomshardware.com/cpu/01q1/010308/athlon_scaling-02.html" target="_new">http://www4.tomshardware.com/cpu/01q1/010308/athlon_scaling-02.html</A>

i don't know, i heard somewhere that the max fps humans can precieve is 75. above that it doesn't mater. i don't know if it's true though. i'm fairly sure that the graphics card was the limiting factor in the gaming benchmarks. the difference wasn't huge in business either though. it just depends on how long term you're thinking. software may change quickly and take advantage of these high speeds. if you're thinking long term you may also want to consider ddr memory.

Actually... technicly the Human can see up to 25 Frames Per Second... anything below that will be noticied and anything upper than that won't.

A game at 60fps appears smoother than one at 30 fps but that is because of Monitor related issues...

So anything from 23 to 60 is nice but really not that big deal, anything from from 60 is plain useless
