Power on your computer and hit 'F8' after the post screen (BIOS Screen).
You will now get a menu with options of Windows, Safe Mode, Command Prompt Etc. Select 'Safe Mode Command Prompt Only'
you will then come to the C:\ prompt.
Type in the following command 'dir > lpt1'(assumeing that your printer is on LPT1) and hit return.
your printer should print out a directory listing, if it prints 2 copys then you have a problem with the printer if you only get one copy then you have a driver problem in windows.

Only the insane prosper.
Only those who prosper can judge what is sane.

Thank you, but it wont work because the printer is shared on a network, therefore not connected to lpt1. Any other options?

Do print requests from all machines on the network generate two copies?

Or just yours?

Only thing I can think of is the printer properties has 'copies' set to two.

From Start>Settings>Printers double-click on the printer icon, select 'printer' then 'properties' from the drop-down menu.

Somewhere in there you can select the number of copies.

Either that or its a Kodak printer, and you get the second set for free, LOL

I used to be indecisive, now Im not so sure
