First, a disclaimer. I feel that while EQL is not dying in the
sense that it will be around for a few years yet, it is in a state of
decline. This is my opinion; I could be wrong.

I started a server merger pool right before EQII was launched, and it
ended with the merger of the Zeks. However, it felt a bit fast to be
truly satisfying, at least to me. So here is the Server Merger Pool
Part Deux. Everyone who was in the first pool is in the second, since I
am just cut and pasting the old list over, and making modifications as
needed. If you wish to join in, then just respond to this thread with
your month, day, and year. If you leave off the year, I will assume you
mean the earliest date this month and day can fall. The prize is an
imaginary VW flower painted van. This one has no radio, but it does
have a cool black light poster taped to the ceiling so you can lay on
your back on the shag rug and just dig it.

I've decided to not include the European or Legends Servers in this
list. This is for the "normal" servers, and Firiona Vie.

Enough exposition. On to the list!

didn't. Oops. Please pick another date if you want to be in the pool.

Yay, I won! I don't know what was up in the previous thread, obviously
I found it again to post but for some reason I didn't see that you had
already announced the fact. I blame Google's new Groups beta messing
with things.

Anyway, I like May also for the next merge, so put me down for May 15
please. And I definitely predict that Kane Bayle will be one of the
ones merged.

I think that they'll merge before christmas to try to keep people from
going to other games as christmas presents. Not too close the
christmas though as that might annoy people enough for them to switch.

I'm pretty sure the merger will be done over the summer before the
next (if any) expansion comes out so...

Damn! I thought they'd evaluate it a bit more. But then again we're talking
Sony here right? I'm bummed... that van would spruce up the front of my
house and piss off the neighbors. ;(

Doh, they're going to erase my Kane babies :(
I was fiddling around on that server in my freebie month last year
(which ended after 2 weeks due to the dx9 patch) and only one of them
got to level 10. The last EQ character I spent time on was a gnome SK
that ran around killing event skeletons with harm touch and dying a
lot. She got lots of random event skeleton loot, was a blast to play
and was a character I wanted to play should I ever come back, but
never got past level 6 with her (due to patch) and now she'll be gone.
Bummer.
(No, not enough to resubscribe and get dx9. Not even an EMarr merger
(which would eat my bazaar mule) would be too likely to do that.
I think it'd just make 'never return' more permanent instead)

Even before I compiled the new list, SOE blind sided me and will merge
a couple of normal servers as of March 23. I'm really surprised that
they moved this quickly. And judging by the dates given by most of the
people in this pool, I'm not the only one.

I'm sorry...but you know I was too blind to see that you had announced
me as the winner in the other thread until I already posted asking
about it...so obviously I totally missed the van when it was delivered!

I'll check my housemate's room tonight...I bet he's the culprit!

Are you sitting down? Woprd is there will be a few more mergers on or
near end of April. Bet round part tres anyone? Guess the name of up
to 4 servers being affected at that time.
