I have two - brother HL 1230 Laser and on a USB hp psc 110 - both have been working fine till now and I had changed nothing. I am getting two error meesages - 1: Spool Subsystem App has encountered a problem ---etc. and now a new one 2: The procedure entrry point GetIUMS could not be located in the dynamic link library MSDAR.DLL. I have been to the command and net start spooler and also sfc /scannow - this asks me for a disc which I don't appear to have. I have put in a disc which has reinstalled windows and its after this that the second error message appeared. I think I've made things worse.

SubSystem App is covered in
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;324757

But the first thing I would do is ensure I had gotten rid of ALL traces of
the printer drivers...
