I currently have an amd T-bird 1200Mhz and it's tempeture is 49-59 c .
I live in Israel , and in mid summer tempeturs can get to 40c outside.
so as i see it my cpu will get to higher tempetures and wont work as well.
so i decided to get a new fan to my cpu and the only fans i can get in israel are :GLOBAL WIN
WBK38
ThermalTake
CHROME-ORB
ThermalTake
SUPER-ORB
ThermalTake
VOLCANO2
Antec
TWI
what is the best fan to get ?
thanks

You left the Silverado off that list. It is better than any other HSf, including the Swiftech 492. I can defend that statement too.

He just said those were the ones he could get in Israel, so I assume that if he didn't list it he can't get it. Out of those listed- the WBK 38 is great but loud, and the volcano II is cheap and quieter, but not near as good as the WBK.

Well since the WBK38 is on your list, I'd say buy it.

That particular HSF is an upgrade to the fan I presently have, which is the FOP38. Too bad the Swiftech MC370-OA and the MC462 aren't available in your neck of the woods, because if they were, those would be the top of the line choice items to get, alongside the Silverado.

Chcek out http://www.outsideloop.com they ship internationally.

If you have a new AMD mobo it might have the mounting points required for a Swiftech MC462, the coldest air cooler.

You can only get the silverado from Germany, and they ship to very few countries. I agree with Tempus it is a great cooler.

The Swiftech MC462 is noisy with the delat fan, so I plan to use with a Sunon 80mm fan instead - just bought, not fitted.

My swiftech 370 with delta fan kept my 1.56G AMD at 45-47 degrees but was noisy...

From what Tom's review says the Swiftech MC462 would appear to be an excellent HSF, but as peteb says with the Delta fan
(as supplied for review) it is very noisy : 48.5 dBA @ 4900rpm giving 68.5cfm.
However anyone considering buying one should note that as of 10 Apr 01 Swiftech announced that due to poor delivery times from Delta, they are no longer supplying the MC462 heatsink fan with the Delta FFB0812SHE fan.

Instead they will supply a 80mm Sanyo Denki fan that produces 53cfm airflow with a noise level of 45dBA.
(Probably Sanyo Denki part: 109P0812A202 )

This will be slightly quieter, but also with 15.5cfm (approx 23%) less airflow the cooler will not be quite as effective as with the Delta fan.

It would be interesting if a comparison could be made between the two versions.

Thanks for the help!
I finely got my cpu cooler ,the best product I could find in Israel is the GlobalWin wbk38. I added an Antec slot fan to get out hot air from the computer.
Hopefully my computer wont burn out:)

Well, whether it be a Sanyo Denki fan, or a run of the mill 80 mm delta fan -- from my recent experience installing a Swiftech MC462, it doesn't make much of a difference.....the heatsink runs NO cooler then say a Globalwin Fop38, or some of the other fans out there.

A' fed up with all the hype' kind of guy,

I have a duron 800 oc to 990 mhz 220 mhz fsb, mb is a asus A7V 133 I use dipswitches and jumpers to set the multipliers and voltages. I use a Thermaltake superorb it has 2 fans, bottom fan runs 6500 rpm and top fan 4700 rpm moves approx 38 to 40 cfm. my temp right now under moderate load is 48 degrees celcius never goes past 50 deg celcius under heavy load.

But don't take my word on it:

and there are more reviews. Buy here:

Best of luck mate. Oh BTW the delta adds great cooling with much noise though. And with the Delta that issue (the retail version no longer is hollow) makes no diff.

Well what so ya think?
