Nothing is set in stone...I'm always open to new suggestions.
Last time I build a new rig was over 5 years ago so it's taking me a while to get caught up again.

PSU

GPU (I heard the 7800 are about the same price as the 6900's but uses less power and is more efficient??)

well, looks fine.

psu is great. you *could* go with 3570k instead, it's almost the same moneys and a lil bit better but both cpu perform close enough to each other that you would have no complaints. (me, i'd go 3570k).

the extreme4 is just as good as the 6 and costs less.

remember to grab a coolermaster 212EVO.

also, just a thought, but instead of $80 for a 500gb hd, you could go the whole hog and spend $200 for a 240Gb SSD, and forget about mechanical drives altogether ...
