Add Printer Wizard

I have a problem with my "add printer wizard" driver.
Every time I click on it, it shows "the operation could
not be performed". I have a Lexmark z25 printer, and when
I try to install the printer software from the cd, it
says:"set up has determined that the spooler service has
stopped. In order to continue installation, it must be
started. Do you want the spooler service started now?
Choose YES to start the service and continue
installation".
When I click YES, it just brings me back to the desktop!
I went to command prompt and typed: net start spooler
It gave me error #1068 stating that "The dependency
service or group failed to start".
I am all in the dark. I would really appreciate some help.
