Took a user's computer and reformatted it using the
Recovery Disks that came with the computer (Compaq Evo
510). Reinstalled Windows XP Pro and all software, etc...

Now, when I'm ready to install all the network printers,
when I click on Add Printer, I get a message
saying "Operation Could not be completed" It gives me no
other information or anything. All I can do is click OK.

This computer was printing fine until I used the recovery
disk. I used it because we were giving it to a different
user, and that is our policy.

Any ideas?

First of all ensure you have Admin Rights

Ensure the Print Spooler is running

If it is not, start it. From the command prompt type
net start spooler
(and hit enter)

Now try again.

Yes I have admin rights. I started the Print Spooler like
you said, and when I tried I got the same "Operation could
not be completed" as soon as I hit Add Printer.

Maybe something to install properly when I used the
Recovery Disk???
