How important is voltage??

I haven't tried the voltage crack on my A7V and I was wondering how much higher I would be able to go. 1000MHz old (200 FSB) TBird @ 1155MHz @39 degrees.

I saw a article somewere of a dudes setup: 1000 @ 1470
1.85 core + 3.90 I/0 volts ( A7v default 1.56 I/0 ) If you
know the pin / jumper setup please tell.My 1.2 is in need
of more juice.If mean the voltage hack you can go higher
than 1.85 vcore.

The A7V default is not 1.56, it's 3.56. I've done the voltage mod before, I had 2.13v maximum instead of 1.85.

Griz, I'll regret doing it but do you have a link to the voltage mod for the A7 board range, and any idea if it works with a7v133? I'm feeling a little adventurous...

I'm pretty sure the A7V and the A7V133 both use the same voltage card setup so you should be ok. you might want to double check though.

Hey thanks Griz,

I might have a look...

My aircooled T-Bird still does not get past 44 degrees at an indicated 1.9V so I think I should be able to get the little fell up to 2V okay.

At 2V I should be able to improve on my current stable speed of 1573Mhz (143x11) hopefully to run consistently at higher FSB for >1.6Ghz....
