I have 3 users on one, non-network, PC, connected to an
HP 850C Printer: 2 have limited accounts; I am admin.
All printing functions work fine when I'm logged on, but
the other 2 users can't print anything.
I have turned on printer sharing via start>control
panel>printers & other hdwe.> view installed printers:
right click on printer, click "sharing", sharing tab
shows sharing enabled & a space for name of shared
printer (which I supplied).
I've used the network & printing troubleshooters with no
fix. I've also tried 2 KB articles: 307016 & 814005.

Is this XP Home and do you have Norton Antivirus installed?

Go to the Control Panel, click on Printers & Faxes..... Right click on the
Printer and select Properties... in the Advanced tab, change the setting
from "Print Using Print Spooling" to Print Direct to Printer".
