I have 1.2 gig retail C athlon, with GeForce 2 Ultra...anyway, the system noramlly runs at 25 C but the chip 45-55 C (which I think may be too hot, but I have not bought artic silver of a FOP Win 32)

anyway, I easily got my GeForce 2 Ultra Elsa Gladiac to 300 mhz and 530 for the ram. Is this bad for the card. I run 3dBench2001 and see no snowing, and it never crashes in any games.

Also, how bad is this 55 degrees on my Athlon (When I run hard test all night even goes to like 58)

I am going to get artic silver and a FOP Win32 fan soon.

Stop asking and just get a good friggin heatsink. The purchase is justified. OK??! Besides 55C isn't really pushing it since the max temp is around 74C, but I find the 100% stability threshold to be 40-45C or lower. Especially if you're overclocking.
