I need some advice on upgrading my prebuilt to play Skyrim.

Integrated Radeon 4250
300W power supply
AMD Quad-Core FX-4100 3.6GHz
6GB DDR3
1TB HDD

I know I need a GPU and probably a new power supply, but any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I would pick up a new GPU, it seems to be the bottleneck in what you've listed. How much would you be willing to spend on a new GPU?

Graphics card and power supply is about it without a new motherboard and CPU. You could gat a cooler and do some CPU overclocking if your motherboard allows.

I would spend up to 200$ on a GPU, are the motherboard and CPU sufficient for mid-performance gaming?

This 6950 is a bargain $199.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... the CPU is not what I would choose but is fine for a low-mid range gaming PC. You don't say what motherboard it is so hard to comment.
