Hey everyone. I just want to get some opinions on something. Right now I am running the Vantec FCE-blah blah blah heatsink with the delta fan. Its basically a copy of the fop-38 with a better clip. Anyways, I'm running right now at idle 43 and motherboard is at 38 ( yes it's very hot in the house... 100 outside and no A/C inside right now ). Anyways, even when the mobo tmep is lower, say 27, I'll still have load temps of 50 or so. Now would the OCZ gladiator cool my tbird better? It's a 1.2 @ 1.4. Also, are copper shims worth it? Thanks
Save your money. I just bought one, is works only slightly better then my FOP38. If your looking for big gains water cooling or a TEC is the way to go.

I'd personally say just wait a few months or so and let the next round of all copper heatsinks come out. We havn't seen upgrades from the likes of Alpha yet so I think the next few months are going to spawn an all new generation of CPU heatsinks. But hey I could be wrong. And yes I am an Alpha sheep.
I do believe the next step is all copper. Imagine an all copper version of the Tec 462? Dang.
