Need to wipe computer to boot from disk, anyone have a tutorial url?

Hey,

I'm running Windows 7 64-bit, have a trojan in the startup files. I want to wipe it clean and boot from disk with the system restore disk, did it once before but forgot which steps I took. Any help would be appreciated.

went ahead and ended up just trying to boot from disk without wiping out, just re-installed and deleted the windows.old files, seems to have done the trick, thank you very much for the reply however. don't really know if any of the trojans could still be stored within the .old files, but they sure took up a massive load of memory. haha
