Ever since software was reloaded following a hard drive crash on my computer, I have found that when I select "print preferences" the next window pops up in French. It's in English up to that point, then everying goes to French when print preferences are selected. Any ideas on how to correct this?

Thanks in advance.

You appear to have downloaded a French software package for your printer
drivers.

Uninstall and reinstall using
http://www.coribright.com/Windows/Article%20One.htm

Look for the updated printer driver package from the printer manufacturer's
website in English.

Thanks Cari. I appreciate your response. Would it be the wrong software if the first screen/window that comes up (when I select print) is in English? That's what throws me.

Well it shouldn't be! But download another copy from the printer
manufacturer's website just to be sure, I have come across occasions where
the manufacturer has mixed up their files and the wrong language problem has
been their error.

I presume you are running an English version of Windows?

Yes, I am running an English version of Windows. I will download another copy from HP's website to be sure and let you know how it goes.

Thanks again!

Cari: The re-installation did solve the language problem as you suggested. I haven't printed yet, but I'm sure it will function as expected.

Thanks for your help!

The amount some manufacturers charge for it, you'd definitely think so!
