I have a network of 6 PCs at home. I have an HP PSC2110 (All-in-one) connected to a PC running XP Home. Two other PCs are running WinXP (one is Home, one is Pro). I had no problems hooking up the printer sharing on them. On the other PCs, I am running Win 98SE. I cannot seem to get the network printer connected to them.
The network printer shows up under NETWORK PRINTERS when I try to ADD A PRINTER, but it asks for the driver disk. When I put in the original CD for the HP PSC, it does not find the correct drivers. I have browsed thru each folder on the disk and it will not "find" the right driver. I tried installing the CD (like the printer was directly connected), and then run ADD A PRINTER (network printer) and it still will not connect to the printer. I had hoped that installing the CD would load the proper drivers which could be used when installing the network shared printer, but this did not work.
