Sharing XP printer with Apple Mac OSX on network.

I have a network with 3 Windows XP Pro machines running, one is set up as a media server and Printer server. Two printers attached.
How can I enable a Apple Mac G4 running OS X to have access to these printers.
It can access everything over the network but the printers.
I also want to attach a scanner.
Any ideas would be helpful.

I know I can go to Windows server and do it but can I do it within XP Pro and OSX

Second part first..... very very few scanners are networkable out of the
box. There are a few nice Epson scanners that are, but they cost upwards of
$3,000 so it's generally not an economical idea.

There is also software that will work, the client part is free... however
the server part (that goes on the PC with the scanner) certainly isn't, so
it's generally cheaper to get a second scanner.

If the printers have Mac drivers, you should be able to install them just as
you did with the Windows ones, if they do not, you're probably out of luck.
You'll have to search at the printer manufacturers' website to see if OSX
drivers are available.
