Problem only occurs when printing from a DOS program. The
OS is XP Pro and the network printer is an HP Laserjet
4si. At some point when printing multi-page reports, the
formatting changes. Everything gets bigger -- font,
spaces in between text, etc -- as if the whole page was a
graphic that somehow got enlarged. Everything that
doesn't fit on the page with the new proportions is lost.
Sometimes it happens on the first page of the report,
sometimes only after most of the pages have already
printed correctly. Sometimes I'll print a report, it will
have this problem, and then when I print it again, it
works just fine. I've tried using compatibility mode to
emulate computers running Win95 that don't have this
problem, but can't get it to work. I've tried changing
lots of other settings -- too many to list here. There
doesn't seem to be any good way to test if a new setting
works because even without changing anything the same
document will print differently each time. Any ideas?
