I used to have that game.
It ran well for me and I've got Windows 7. Make sure that you've enabled compatibility mode while trying to run the game.
Also, what do you mean by the 'running memory'?

Me neither...

If you want to see how much memory your game is using, you can ALT+TAB while the game is playing and go to task manager and see how much memory the game is using.

Thx for your response no patchs available as far as i know & i read that older games don't recognise more than 2-gigs of ram & I have 4 now & yes it is possible to limit it, unfortunately no luck so far I'm going to try a virtual XP & see if that works thx again.

try using MSCONFIG go to run and type msconfig go to the boot tab/advanced and the max memory option and set it to 2048

Then reboot.
