PRL 50261 has been released and here are the changes compared to PRL
50238. Some of the details of the SIDs were obtained from
http://mallard.rainyday.mb.ca/~dialtone/ and www.mountainwireless.com
and http://www.ifast.org/SIDtables.htm
Some changes in priority and changes from A to D/A may not be noted
along with any other changes that I may have missed.

I would classify this as a minor change. As of this time, I'm not sure
how this relates to what PRL will be used on the AC II (AC with no
roaming) plans. It is pretty much good news for people in California,
Michigan, and Nebraska.

VZW = Verizon native area - no triangle
FRM = Free Roam/Extended Network - no triangle
FRL = Free Roam/Extended Network Limited - flashing triangle
RM = Roaming - solid triangle
NEG = Negative Entry - will not roam on this provider
(A) = Analog Only
D/A = Digital/Analog
[D] = Digital Only
PCS = PCS

--------------------------------------------------------
The following FRM area was dropped
--------------------------------------------------------
5269 PCS FRM ACS Wireless
SCAN 725E 750E 775E

6480 PCS FRM IAMO Wireless

The following areas moved down in priority.
(They are now the lowest in the region)
--------------------------------------------------------
1337 D/A FRM RFB Cellular
CMA475A Michigan 4 - Cheboygan
1333 D/A RM RFB Cellular
CMA473A Michigan 2 - Alger

Thanks Rich.

Is there any way to tell what PRL is in my LG VX3200 right now?

Rich, do you know if this particular change in PRL effected WV coverage, and
if so, how?

Janie

From looking at the changes listed, none are in WV, so I would not
expect coverage to change there.

If the VX3200 is similar to my VX4400, it would be Menu 9 (Phone Info)
Option 2 (S/W Version). If those aren't the exact menu numbers, look
for something similar.

On the VX3200, it was Menu 6 (settings), option 9 (Phone Info), option
2 (S/W Version).

It lists on my phone:

S/W ver.
T32VZV02

PRL ver.
PRL 50233

ERI ver.
ERI 50018

I guess it's time to update the PRL. Thank you very much for the
info!

This is bad news for Alaska travelers. ACS has the best developed
network in the state. The other PRL entries are for Alaska Digitel
which is a 3rd rate carrier with non-existent coverage outside of the
major cities. (Think T-Mobile 5 years ago)

With no more NSR, Cingular has better service here again with Dobson
CellOne s their partner.
