If someone wants to swipe your $200+ gaming keyboard or peripherals, this really won't stop someone from simply cutting the cord and replacing the $3 USB plug on the end when they get home. Neat idea I guess though.

Agreed but most of those kinds of thefts are opportunistic and having to cut to cord is problematic and thats assuming that the dude knows enough or is willing to spend the time to put it back to gether. Such a crime will more likely be premeditated than opportunistic.

Yes someone could always cut the cord and replace it but whats really stopping them from just taking the entire computer?i know there are computer locks usually from Laptops but you can use them for desktops so the thief just brings a small bolt cutter and then your $200 worth of peripherals and your computer is gone

Or whats to stop them from bringing a Phillips head screw driver?

I think that for U$S25 a LITTLE bit of additional security is OK, at least they will have to cut the wire, not just simply unplugg

Thats what I thought, maybe because you need the R.A.T 9 Wireless transmitter to use it I guess :)

I'd probably just take any computer in which I found one of these things installed.

20-key? Wouldn't that be kind of inconvenient to open and close? "Wait a sec, only seven more keys to go."

It's a lock system so that another person who has a key can't open it.
