In my experience the problem with carrying a flip phone on a
belt clip is it easily flips open, especially if you have it
in a leather case (putting on the case results in the phone
not closing as tightly). My current solution is to keep the
phone in a leather case to protect against falls and
scratches, and carry it in a pocket. I am considering
trying to attach a piece of Velcro to the case so that the
phone will not open so easily - then I'll have to see if it
makes receiving calls too awkward <g>.

I agree. I carry my phone in a horizontal pouch holster on my belt.
It's easy to get out when I need it.

Now, that sounds great. Can such holsters be bought online?

I recall seeing them on several cell phone accessory sites.
I bought mine at Radio Shack, and have also seen them in Best Buy.
