For all those who have given it a shot, please leave your feedback so that those who are yet to play/ buy it can have an idea. Tell us how your experience has been so far. Also, list out your system specs so that we know how the game is handling on different rigs/ settings.
Perhaps this could help in having a consolidated thread in anticipation of future queries.

Yes i'm looking forward to seeing the same, people in OClers forums say that the game is very demanding and requires a lot of VRAM, Also a single HD 7970 can't maintain 60 FPS easily...hope this is not true
I don't think it is. Played 3 hours and maxed out it uses 1.6GB of my HD7970s VRAM and I didn't have any FPS issues with VSYNC on (it was always smooth).
I do however have a OCed HD7970 so that may help too.

Thats everything maxed out at 1600x900. Wish I had a bigger monitor but meh. Still the bullet time is AMAZING!!

I forgot to say, most of the play @ 2560x. I'm surprised that you have this GPU power and running a single monitor @ 1600x.
Some reported that FPS drops to 50 in some locations with a single HD 7970 @ 1080P.
Also some had a graphics message says that they can't enable 8x MSAA due to lack of VRAM.

It runs incredibly smooth, no lag at all and almost constant 60fps on my 560 Ti and i5 2500k. Neither are overclocked. Only dips into the 50's when things get really intense on screen. I'm having a great time playing it too. The shooting mechanics are amazing and it's never boring.Settings very high? FXAA or 4x MSSA? Are you playing @ 1080P?

I read up somewhere (think it was Metacritic) that there is a 'flywheel' mechanism for the weapons. Is that correct? Because such a mechanism is usually used for console titles. I just hope its not a bad port job!!sniper2606:
Did you manage to find a fix for the issue?
The guns all have many moving parts, and look very realistic. The bullets are rendered in real time (every single one you shoot) which makes it very crazy.
And no, its not a port job. The console version is like 16GB, this is 35GB and has many DX11 features available. I also compared the graphics to some MLG (Major League Gaming, 360 and PS3) videos released and it looks 10xs better.

Well when using MSAA you are basically doing the same fram 8 times for the best smoothness to the lines but that seems a tad strange that 3GB of VRAM is not enough when 1600x900, not too far off, is only using 1.6GB of VRAM.
Maybe I will have to borrow a 1080P monitor from work and see or possibly hook my TV up to my PC and see what it gives me.
I know that technologies such as AA, MSAA, AF, FXAA, QSCAA.. those really feed on the VRAM for rendering the textures and eliminating jaggy edges, And Also I'm not saying that 2 GB or 3GB is not enough but it might be a pain for those who are running cards with 1 GB of VRAM, they are already complaining from a several stutters with HD 5800 cards.
Actually a single HD 7970 is an overkill for such a resolution, maybe you want to upgrade to a 1400P monitor

Not sure how you guys got the game working if bought from steam...

as you can see hundreds of people including my self cannot play the game.
R* acknowledge the issue and is working on a patch, somebody manage to fix the game with a crack which i did and playing now but cant play online.
On the feedback side the game runs smooth everything maxed out biggest FPS drop was 49.

that could be a problem for me cuz of the 1.2GB of Vram :S
HardOCP did a review preview and said that if you have issues you can turn off HDAO and use SSAO to get a bit better performance.
They also said that the FXAA does a very good job and is even about as good as 8x MSAA but they didn't get into full detail about if it lowered image quality as FXAA tends to blur the image in post processing while MSAA works on the pixel level.
I am sure they will have a full review and teardown up with more than just GTX680s and HD7970s in a few days.
But you should be fine. Probably not be able to max everything out due to less VRAM but should be able to do higher settings and enjoy it.

Honestly? I did nothing to get it to work. It was downloading Thursday night, then at about 75% it started decrypting. Once that finished it finished downloading the last 9GB of data. Just for laughs, I ran a cache verification on it and went to bed.
The next morning I launched it, it did the DX/C++ crap and launched with no issues.

Even I'm worried on that point! GTX470+i5 760i@2.8GHz. I'm worried that my CPU will be a bottleneck.
On the plus side, I've ordered the Asus GTX 670 DC2 TOP which is expected to reach me in a couple of hours (along with the game). I hope it'll balance out the equation viz-a-viz the CPU.
Hmm...maybe I should try it out with the 470 first?
anything over a 2.4 core 2 quad is enough for gaming. people forget this as they get dazzled by i5 and i7 labels... there only 20% better on the first gen and about 30% better on the second at comparable clocks.
you may thing oh 20% but in real world performance especially in gaming there not much better than the older core 2 quads... there main advantage is higher memory through put but if you build a balanced rig the core 2 quad is still good for gaming...
on mw3 for instance i get 90 fps on highest settings
my bro inlaw has a q8300 oc'd to 3ghz and a gtx 260 he 2 gets 90 fps...
yes i could get much more if i unlock the fps limiter but its pointless... but my bro inlaw is more than happy with his system. he knows my system is stronger but as long as he's happy he doesn't care... when i sell him my 5870 he will get 45 fps on high settings for bf3... guess what i get... you guessed it 45 fps...
if you want to play games a balanced approach with good basics is enough....

I'll endorse your point of view qua balanced approach. See, I had a choice on whether to keep the 470 and upgrade the CPU to an i5 2500k (which meant a new mobo as well) OR stick with the 760i and get a good GPU. I don't have the choice for both because I need to keep them finances in check for now - got a li'l one on the way!. This purchase (670) is my final buy for a long time now.
Honestly, I've been pretty happy with my i5. It's been a peppy chip and hasn't let me down thus far. That coupled with the 470 was good enough for getting on with the recent titles at high to ultra settings. Looking at MP3 and the system requirements - minimum as well as recommended - kinda told me that the time had come to upgrade the 470. While I'm confident that the GPU itself will be more than sufficient for MP3, I just feel that the 2.8 speed on the CPU might hold it (the 670) back. If that's the case, I'll probably just OC it to 3.4/ 3.6. The question is: do I NEED to!! Or will 2.8 + the 670 suffice for MP3?

WHOAAA!!! That is simply HOT!! Darn good readings there! But tell me, according to the charts:
CHART 1 (Top): i73960@3.3GHz.+GTX670 = 100 fps No AA/ 50 fps 4xMSAA
CHART 2 (Bottom): i3-2100@3.1GHz+GTX680 = 90+ fps with No AA
I dunno, but kinda doesn't seem right.....its too good, but not right! The i3 with a 680 seems to be performing better (with no AA) than the i7 with a 670.

Maybe we should wait for tech sites to bench the game. The one at geforce.com is kind of, well, not good.
Best solution
Ok guys I got my hands on the game, It's very fantastic the shooting mechanism is so great and so the bullet time and dodging.
Unfortunately the game is very demanding, anyone with GTX 560ti/570 or HD 6950/70 will be able to max out the game and get playable FPS, I get from 37-42 and sometimes it falls to 29-30 but it's fast and very playable.
Enabling 8x MSAA won't make you move your mouse, and consumes about 600MB of VRAM. For those who have 1 GB of VRAM you won't be able to choose 4x MSAA, you'll end up with 2x and your frame rate will be around 50 FPS.
Here's screenshots, the game really looks awesome.

FXAA doesn't work for AMD cards, so leave it off and I was eager to test 4x MSAA and it was awesome, Also make sure to enable MLAA, it will make texts a little blurry but it will smooth out edges perfectly, here are some shots

Played it for about 20 mins last night (out of which 15 mins were cut scenes!). Personally, I don't like the lengthy cut scenes. Plus, there's no option for skipping them, so you gotta sit through the whole thing everytime.
Graphics: so far, it hasn't really grabbed me. I think most of the 35 gb space went into the cut scenes. But I guess that's what a mere 20 mins of gameplay delivers. Will post back with more game time.
One other thing. I had my CPU OC'd yesterday from 2.8 to 3.4. Before that, I could monitor my temp's, FPS, etc in-game using MSI's AB. But now it isn't showing up. I tried with MSI AB, EVGA Precision-X and GPU Tweak (Asus). All one by one. Still no luck. I'm running the 301.34 drivers as there was an issue with the 301.42 drivers which caused the system to lock up (BSOD). Although, this could also have been due to Asus's GPU Tweak coz many people have had similar issues. Anybody know of a solution?
