I previously posted this, but may need to rephrase.

Can someone tell me what ports need to be opened on a firewall for
"outbound" PPTP connections?

Example: Site 1 has a vpn client that needs to connect to a vpn device
at site 2. What ports need to be opened on the firewall at site 1 to
allow the connection?

I think you need to open Protocol 47 and port 1723.
Note protocol 47 not tcp port 47
