We have a basic network of 25 computers all running windows XP pro.
Are boss brought in his laptop (I think win98) to print reports. He
then shared a printer (on the XP pro machine) so that the laptop could
print to it and then everyone on the network within a week was
printing to this printer. When we looked at the rest of the computers
and everyone had this printer mapped and defaulted to go to this
printer. When we stopped sharing the printer the other printers still
tried printing to my bosses printer. Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks,

Dan

You'll have to go round to each PC in turn...... open Windows Explorer, from
the Toolbar, select Tools, Folder Options, then in theView tab, uncheck the
box Automatically search for network folders and printers.
