Saints row 3 crash on start up

Everytime I try to start up saints row 3 it crashes to desktop I've reinstalled it twice and verified the cash several times but doesn't make a difference, the game works fine on my laptop that has the same 64-bit windows 7 OS all thats different is the specs.

You should go into the Saints Row 3 Steam forum and post your issue there. It seems people have posted the same problem.

might be 3rd party apps that detects d3d apps, like xfire and msi afterburner etc, make sure closing them (if any installed) before running the game, i had this issue with xfire

I did have afterburner but closing it didnt make a difference

Try re-installing directx mate
i prefer Directx11.
