Hi guys, ive been getting this strange error each time I try to start Dirt 2 or Dirt 3, i have no idea what to do or what it could be, all I know is that its keeping both .exe's from starting up, heres the error "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002). Click OK to terminate the application."

If you got the game from Steam, do a Verify Integrity of Game Cache.

Reinstall you microsoft visual c++ 2005 redistributable, or microsoft visual c++ 2008 redistributable

I had this in the past with GTA IV, the solution was to uninstall MS c++ 2005, and then use the installer for Visual studio 2005 under the GTA IV install directory to reinstall it.

The err you are getting is definitively related to C++, most like some missing DLL's.

First uninstall it, then look for vcredist_x86.exe under the install directory of the game.

Re-installing the game did not help in my case,

There should be patches for the game, make sure you are updated to the latest version if it has not been updated.
