GPU usage while gaming

I play a few video games on my PC, and I noticed after a while that the game gets laggy though my GPU usage is only 20-25%. Does anyone how to make games use more GPU power so they can perform better?

What kind of computer do you have? Can you list out the parts and specifications?

Have you tried monitoring your GPU and as well as your CPU temp? Could be heat issue.

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 @ 2GHz
RAM: 4 GB DDR2
VGA: NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS
HDD: 320GB

its heating problem can you post your temps on idle and on load
and also what games you're playing?
