Can't work the sims deluxe edition on wondows 7

Hello,
I've installed the sims deluxe edition onto my laptop and it installed perfectly fine but when I go to open it, it gets past the first video thing of the house being built then just closes itself, I've tried the compatibility mode and running as administrator but its not working, any ideas?

Does your laptop meet the minimum specs for Sims Deluxe ?

I think it does but when i went to install it is said something about not having enough RAM but i just clicked okay and it said it may affect the run speed of the game.
