More Information

Just installed a Blizzard heatsink to replace the existing
Kanie Hedgehog on
AMD 1333 (running at 1400MHz)
A7M266
before MB temp 30 deg C
CPU temp 50 deg C
After MB temp 26 deg C
CPU temp 41 deg C
Ambient temperature 24.4 deg C
All other conditions the same!
monitored by Motherboard Monitor 5.Both Heatsinks had the same fan and were carefully mounted with Artic Silver as the
thermal compound.
The only other difference is the fan on the Kanie was sucking and the fan on the Blizzard was blowing.

However, when in peak, the heat generated by the chipset is used to dilate a gas that will move a piston that in turn will move the blades of the fan that's placed in front of the heat sink's extension linked with 2 heat pipes.
